Think your bundle of joy needs a bath every day? Think again, and save yourself some time and trouble.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, as long as you give their bottoms a thorough cleaning during diaper changes, "your infant doesn't need much bathing. Three times a week during the first year may be enough." To keep skin from drying out, don't use harsh soaps or allow moisture to evaporate from the skin. Pat the skin dry and apply a fragrance-free, hypoallergenic moisturizing lotion immediately after bathing.
