October 6, 2015

Your little ones might sing along with her on PBS Sprout, but now "kindie" rocker Laurie Berkner, a former preschool teacher by day and indie singer by night, has recorded a new album of songs they can listen to any time.

The artist whom Time magazine dubbed "a kind of sippy-cup Sheryl Crow" will release the two-disc, 51-song album, "Laurie Berkner's Favorite Classic Kids' Songs" on Oct. 23 on her label Two Tomatoes Records. The album includes favorites "She'll be Comin' 'Round the Mountain," "Where Is Thumbkin?", "The Isty Bitsy Spider," "There's a Hole in the Bucket," "This Old Man" and Hush Little Baby."
